District residents are invited to attend Community Conversations that will take place throughout the school year. The first Community Conversations event of this school year will be Wednesday, August 30, 1240 Normal Road in DeKalb, the location of the new elementary school slated to begin construction in the spring of 2024.

Community Conversations are designed to provide a designated time for community members and students to have more opportunities to meet others in the district, address topics of interest, and ask questions. The August 30 topic will focus on adding the new elementary school in the north corridor.
March 23 Community Conversation Schedule

• 5-6 p.m. – free meal provided and social time. On the menu – Portillos
• 6-7 p.m. – topics of conversation; time for Q&A
