Returning and new student online registration for the 2023-2024 school opened today, Monday, April 3, 2023. All students must complete online registration each year in order to attend DeKalb schools. Any current elementary student who is not registered by Thursday, May 11, 2023, may not be able to attend their current school. Middle school and High school students who are not registered will not receive their schedules until online registration is completed.
 
Returning Student Registration: Online registration can be completed through your Family Access account or by clicking REGISTER NOW. Enter your login ID and password. Once in Family Access, please be sure to choose “Returning Student Online Registration for 2023-2024 School Year”.
 
For assistance with your login ID  and password, please follow the instructions for Parent/Guardians found on the Skyward Family Access login page or contact your child’s school main office staff.
 
If you have a current, active student in our district but need to enroll a new student (incoming Kindergarten or pre-qualified pre-K student for 2023-24 school year), please log in to your
Family Access account and choose New Student Online Enrollment. Make sure you choose “Register for 2023-2024 school year”.
 
New Student Registration: Students who are new to the DeKalb School District and are entering Kindergarten – 12th grade can now also register online. Click here to begin registering a new student to DeKalb CUSD 428.
 
New Pre-Kindergarten students, 4 years old and younger, must call 815-754-2361 to set up a screening appointment prior to registering online.
