Today:
Attention Seniors: Herff Jones will deliver caps & gowns today, May 23rd during lunch periods in the cafeteria. Bring your balance due to pick up your cap & gown. Herff Jones does not accept personal checks at this time. Please pay online at www.herffjonesil.com or bring cash on delivery day.
If you did not order your cap & gown, you may purchase a cap & gown today, May 23rd. The cost is $50.00. For more information please call Herff Jones at 815-756-4743 or visit www.herffjonesIL.com.

"Student Council elections will take place on today, during lunch.  Please come and vote for your class officers and your Student Council Executive Board.  You will need your ID to get an election ballot - Elections will take place at Trader Crows.  Come out and vote!"

VOLLEYBALL MEETING
DeKalb High School Volleyball program will be holding a parent & player meet and greet night, tonight, May 23rd from 6-7pm in the DHS Forum Room.  Please join us to meet our new varsity coach, Ben Fisher, and ask any questions or get any other information you might need.

Come cheer on our baseball and softball teams as they play regional games tonight.  Baseball will play at 4:30 in Kaneland vs Kaneland.  Softball will play Sycamore in Burlington at 4:30.  Go Barbs Go!

Boys Track; Turn in your uniforms to Coach Holt.  The banquetis on Wednesday May 30th.

"There is a MANDATORY MEETING for all students enrolled in AP Biology and AP Chemistry next year.  The meeting will be held during FLEX on Thursday, May 24th.  AP Biology will meet in Room N205.  AP Chemistry will meet in Room N209.  If you cannot attend, you must contact Mrs. Abts (N205) or Mrs. Kovarik (N209) to pick up materials at an alternate time."

Attention students attending the Baccalaureate service on June 3rd:     You and your family are invited to attend this worship celebration of graduates by local clergy and student volunteers in the high school auditorium. Students are asked to wear their gowns (but not graduation caps). Please plan to arrive at the high school at 6:30 p.m. Families will be seated immediately upon arrival. Students and participating clergy will process in at 7:00 p.m. The ceremony is expected to last approximately one hour. Refreshments in the cafeteria will follow.

Everyone is invited to the Baccalaureate Service for the 2012 DeKalb High School Graduates held June 3rd at 7pm in the DeKalb High School Auditorium. The worship and celebration will include special music and messages from students, staff and local clergy. Please join us! All area students, families, staff and community members are invited to attend.

SENIORS!  Final transcript request forms are now available!  Please pick one up from Ms. Stellato’s office, room A177.

Students please make sure to check our lost and found in the security office.  We have several pieces of clothing, shoes, jewelry, books, agendas, folders, ect.  If these items are not picked up, we will be donating them to a non for profit organization


          Are you interested in pursuing a health care career?  NIU is looking for current freshmen, sophomores and juniors to attend their annual health careers camp that will be held June 13-15.  The cost for this overnight camp is a mere $50 and participants will obtain hands-on opportunities in labs and classroom environments to learn more about what health professionals do and how they are trained.  Applications for participation in this camp are available in the Student Services Office.  Please contact your counselor for more information.

       "Lights! Camera! Action! The Classic Cinema Club meets on Tuesdays, at 2.45pm in E206. Everyone is welcome to come and watch a movie from Hollywood's Golden Age (1930-1960). See Mr. Hatch or a club member about what movie will be shown this coming week."

         DeKalb High School Music Department hosts "Market Day at DHS" every month.  The last one for this school year is happening now & has many good deals on food for the Summer, especially online at www.marketday.com.  The code for DHS is 21072.  Forms can be found in the main office and by calling Angel Smith at 754-2120.  Pick up Tuesday, June 5th from 3:00 to 4:30 in the Music area.  Look for Market Day to continue in September 2012.

If you pre-ordered and paid for a 2012 Yearbook, you may pick it up at Trader Crow's in the cafeteria on the morning of Thursday May 24.  Yearbook staff will be distributing yearbooks from 6:45-7:25am on May 24th.  Questions?  See Mr. Gregory."

"If you did not pre-order a 2012 Yearbook and would like to purchase one of the extra copies, Yearbook staff will be selling books in the cafeteria on the mornings of May 29th and 30th from 7-7:25am.  The cost is $60 cash or check (written out to DHS).  First come, first serve.  We cannot reserve any extra copies for you.  We are expecting approximately 150 extra copies this year.  See Mr. Gregory if you have questions."

The last day of school for Seniors is May 31st, 2012.

Please continue to Recycle aluminum cans at D.I.M.C.O. and have them donate the money to the DHS Eco-Buds account.

Students please make sure to check our LOST & FOUND in the security office.  We have several PRESCRIPTION EYE GLASSES, pieces of clothing, shoes, jewelry, books, agendas, folders, ETC...  If these items are not picked up, we will be donating them to a non for profit organization.

Summer driver’s Ed. Applications are now available.   Please pick one up in the Student Service office or from Ms. Stellatos in room A177.

Lifeguard Trainings that will be offered at the Kishwaukee Family YMCA on the following dates:
