ART CLUB is a time for students to explore arts and crafts. Students have an opportunity to extend the experiences they have in the classroom and try out new mediums. Art Club meets on Thursdays from 2:30 to 3:55.

Interested students should see Mrs. Schumacher.

 

BUILDERS CLUB, sponsored by Kiwanis, is for students who want to take positive, constructive action to build a better world for themselves and others. Builders Club meets on Thursdays after school under the sponsorship of Mrs. Vest, Mrs. McElligot, and Mrs. Fierz.

 

FORENSICS AND DRAMA The CRMS forensics team is a group learning about individual speech events. Students interested in drama should look for announcements second semester, when Mrs. Vannoy will sponsor drama club. Drama Club will meet on the 2nd and 4th Mondays beginning in January from 2:40 -3:50, with additional meetings two weeks prior to the play. The performance will be in May.

 

GREEN CLUB is an environmentally friendly student club, which meets every other Thursday after school until 4:00 p.m. The sponsor is Mr. Murray. Green Club is continuing the cell phone and ink jet cartridge-recycling program. A collection bin has been placed outside the office in which students may deposit used cartridges or old cell phones into the containers whenever convenient. Periodically, the Green Club will mail the empty cartridges and cell phones to be recycled. Also, Green Club will be working on other projects such as the school garden. The Green Club wants to teach valuable lessons about the variety of materials that can be recycled so we can all develop life long patterns. If any agencies are interested in working with Green Club on the vegetable garden or any other project, Please contact Mr. Murray.

 

INTRAMURALS are open to all sixth grade students. Intramural activities include bowling, basketball, indoor soccer, swimming, track, baseball, softball, and possibly biking. Activities are held on different days after school, depending on availability of the gym or other facilities. Mrs. Larson coordinates and sponsors the intramural program at CRMS.

 

NEWSPAPER The student staff of the Rosette Gazette, along with the sponsor, Mrs. Larson meets most Mondays after school. They produce our student newspaper, covering school news.

 

SCIENCE CLUB Mr. Christensen is the sponsor of Science Club. Science club meets on Wednesdays after school and includes exploring scientific problems based on the students’ own inquiries. Various scientific principles are explored. Science Club culminates in a public science fair to showcase projects.

 

STUDENT COUNCIL meets on the first and third Mondays of every month from 2:45-3:50. The sponsors are Mrs. Vannoy, Mrs. Oxnevad, and Mrs. Johnson.

The purposes of the Student Council shall be:
A. To develop leadership qualities of Middle School students by way of service to the school and community.
B. Provide for an exchange of ideas among the student body and a way for each student to have a voice in the decision making process of Student Council.
C. To plan and organize activities and projects which advance the social and civic development of the student body.
D. To promote school spirit and an attitude of cooperation between the faculty, administration, and school body

STUDY CLUB is open to all students at Clinton Rosette under the leadership of Ms. Bomar. Study Club meets on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays after school, and offers an excellent opportunity for students to complete homework and receive tutoring in academic areas.

 

YEARBOOK Mr. Buckner is the faculty sponsor for the Yearbook Club. Yearbook is responsible for formatting the yearbook and for taking the candid photos that appear throughout. The club meets every Monday, opposite 2:30-3:30.

 

CHOIR Mr . Erickson directs 6th grade choir and Dr. Doherty directs the 7th and 8th grade choirs. 6 th grade meets everyday, first hour, and 7th and 8th grade choir is during lunch on Mondays and Wednesdays.
