Welcome to Jefferson Elementary School! At Jefferson we are committed to our
mission of providing an excellent education for all learners. We are a neighborhood
school currently serving approximately 335 kindergarten - fifth grade students.
The staff and I believe that by working together we can help all of our learners.
We definitely value our strong parent and community partnerships. Jefferson's
energetic Parent Teacher Association helps facilitate wonderful activities and
experiences that benefit all of our students. The DeKalb community helps our
students by generously volunteering their time and talents to mentor our students.
Our Guest Reader program is just one example where volunteers are welcomed and
appreciated.
The Jefferson community has a shared vision of Excellence that respects the
uniqueness of the individual, fosters the value of life-long learning and promotes
responsible citizenship. Our continuing school improvement process helps us
evaluate and make necessary adjustments to enhance our student's learning.
