We thank you for visiting Huntley Middle School via the Internet.  We believe in providing our students with a positive educational environment, which produces a quality learning experience for our students.  We are very proud of our excellent staff. They are committed to high standards and expectations for HMS students.  Huntley Middle School is a 6th, 7th and 8th grade school in DeKalb, Illinois.  DeKalb is about one hour West of Chicago.  We have about 750 students from the communities of DeKalb, Cortland and Malta. We are part of the DeKalb Community Unit School District #428. District 428 is a K-12 school district that has an enrollment of about 4,600 students. We have nine elementary schools, two 6th-8th grade buildings and one high school.
