Hosted three choral and instrumental organizational contests for the region
Paid for two mellophones for the junior high marching band
Built a trophy case for music at DeKalb High School
Helped send 40 students to leadership camp
Purchased a sound system that is available to band, choir and orchestra
Helped send more than 380 students on various performance trips
Purchased two sets of quints (drums) for DHS marching band
Donated six chair carts to hold all of the new "correct posture" music chairs
Purchased computer carts and software for CRMS, HMS and DHS
Subsidized the technical rehearsal for the spring musical
Sewed hems in over 50 dresses for band and choir
Purchased microphones and amplifiers
Bought flag poles and hoops for Huntley and DHS auxiliary units
Subsidized an organizational contest for orchestra
Provided technical assistance for computer data input and emailings
Organized thousands of pieces of sheet music
Purchased directors' stands
Assisted with jazz evenings, and both band and choir banquets
Bought new uniforms for the entire High School Marching and Concert band.
Bought a new concert piano for the Choir and Orchastra programs at the High School.
Replaced new lights for the Auditorium and helped with the sound system.

The mission of the DeKalb Music Boosters, as the primary advocate for the music performance programs at the middle through high school levels, is to serve and assist the music programs and their directors.

As music boosters our overall purpose is to bring students an appreciation and enjoyment of listening to and making music as a life long activity.
