The "Mr. Holland's Web Site" home page leads to three math courses, where you can find the Syllabus and Online Review. This web site is designed to provide you useful information regarding your child's mathematics course. Full grading criteria is located in the SYLLABUS under the respective Math Course. Their math course web site contains links to help them review daily lessons, chapters, and the year to date using the ONLINE REVIEW link.Daily Lessons (calendar of homework, exams, etc.) have been removed from this web site as all DHS teachers are fully vested in maintaining a current Skyward Grade Book. The online Skyward Grade book lists every assignment since the first day of school, and extends through all assignments for present chapters (future assignments).
This program is available to you and your student, using the FAMILY ACCESS link on Mr. Holland's Web Site Home Page, or via the DHS or District Home Pages. If you do not have a Family Access account, you may call the DHS Main Office at (815) 754-2100 and request an account and password for the parent/guardian. Your child can obtain an account by stopping at the Main Office. Students have access to their grades/assignments and discipline/attendance. You can access all information about the student including Food Service information (which the student cannot access).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------TI-84+ Graphing Calculators are used in class for all Algebra-1 and Algebra-B students. Scientific Calculators (TI-30IIX S) are used in class for all Algebra-X and PreAlgebra students. Most class work, quizzes and tests will allow use of the calculators, and they certainly should be used for homework assignments. Students are required to bring their issued calculator to class every day.

The Online Review connects to the textbook publisher (Glencoe) and provides a quick five question, multiple choice set of questions that pertain to the daily lesson. These questions can be used for preview, or review, to give the student an alternative method of studying the course work.
