| Announcements for Tuesday, May 13th ******* Happy Tuesday DHS Students! ******* Congratulations to Joe Martin—3rd place in the high jump and 5th place in the long jump. Francois O’Leary—4th place in 110HH, Will Stafstrom, Matt DeBall, Joe Ferguson, & Jon Mascote—4th place in the 3200m relay, and Zack Milroy—6th place in 400m in the Western Sun boys’ track meet. ******* There are 8 pairs of prescription glasses in the nurse\'s office, collected throughout the school year. If you have lost a pair, please stop in to identify them. All glasses will be donated to charity at the end of the school year. ******* SENIORS! Time to request copies of your immunization records for your college/ school requirements. Request them from the nurse and allow 24 hours for pickup. ******* DHS math teacher, Mike Wadle, will speak about his work in Tanzania, Africa at this week’s V.O.D. meeting on Wednesday, from 3:00-4:00 in Room 151. All are welcome to hear his presentation. Refreshments will be served. ******* Hey Barbs! Trader Crows will be open for the last time this year tomorrow, 5/14, before school and during lunches. Bring your BARB card to the store for prizes, or turn it in for a chance to win a gift certificate. A raffle for gift certificates will be held on Thursday, 5/15. One side of your card must be completely filled in with stamps to enter the raffle. Be sure to print your name on your BARB card. Please stop by to pick one up if you are interested. ******* On Friday, 5/16 at 6:00 p.m., BSU will host a Nintendo WII tournament at the Center for Black Studies on NIU’s campus. Please make an appointment with Mrs. McKibben for book talks. ******* Attention Senior Varsity Athletes: The Barb Booster Senior Athlete Recognition Night is on Sunday, May 18. Remember to turn in your RSVP forms and money to the Athletic Office by this Monday, May 12. ******* Seniors: Caps & Gowns will be distributed on Monday, 5/19 and Tuesday, 5/20 during lunch periods. You cannot get your cap and gown until all financial obligations are settled. ******* Do you want to get your driving permit early? If so, there is a mandatory meeting for students and parents on Thursday, 6/5 at 6:00 p.m. in the Main Commons. There is also a mandatory meeting for students only on both Monday, 6/9 and Tuesday, 6/10 from 8:00 a.m. – noon. You must be 15 by June 10th to be eligible. Sign up in the Main Office.
