Board Meeting Highlights 6/17/08

• ·         District Construction Liaison, Gary Gustafson, gave the Board an update on future construction plans.
• ·         Board approved a $.05 increase in breakfast and lunch prices for 2008-2009.
• ·         Board approved the bidding process to renovate the locker rooms at Wright Elementary.
• ·         The amended FY08 budget was adopted.
• ·         Board approved the transfer of $340,000 from the working cash fund to the education fund.
• ·         Board approved the renaming of the Jefferson Elementary library to “Seaburg Square” in honor of retiring principal, Merri-lynne Seaburg.
• ·         Board approved contract with the DFSS (custodial & maintenance personnel).
• ·         Board approved a 45-student center contract with the Ombudsman Program.
• ·         Board approved a resolution to purchase property for the new high school.
• ·         Dr. Beilfuss was given a standing ovation from the crowd to thank him for his work with our district.
