05/15/08 - Littlejohn Celebrates Cinco de Mayo

Littlejohn Elementary School celebrated Cinco de Mayo last week. The Pre-K students started off the morning by showing off their dance to their parents, and having a fiesta picnic after.

In the afternoon, the whole school came outside to see the Ballet Folklorico Imagen Mexicana from Rochelle Township High School. They danced for the school in the nice hot sun outside on the blacktop. Their costumes were beautiful and their dances were very entertaining. In between dances, our 3rd – 5th grade ELL students put on a play about the history of Cinco de Mayo, and the afternoon Pre-K classes performed for the entire school in their beautiful costumes too! It was a great afternoon at Littlejohn.
