In the category of administrator, Dr. Paul Beilfuss will receive an Award of Excellence. In the student category, Adam Pouramahdi (senior, DeKalb High School) will also receive an Award of Excellence. In the team category, ReNew Our Schools will receive an Award of Merit. Cohen Barnes and Brian Schrader (co-chairs of ReNew Our Schools will be invited to represent the team at the awards luncheon). The awards will be presented by Regional Representative of the U.S. Department of Education, Kristine Cohn. At the luncheon, one of the 2008 award winners from across the state will be named as INSPRA’s Public Relations Ambassador of the Year.
All of these award-winning individuals/groups were nominated in part due to their contributions to the successful referendum effort this school year, but also as recognition of ongoing support of public education. Congratulations, and thank you to all these individuals!
