04/16/08 - Malta Fun Fair Raises Funds for School Projects
A GREAT time was had by all at Malta Elementary's annual Fun Fair. Students tried their skill at nearly 20 different games, and had the opportunity to win donated themed baskets. Some of the baskets available were chocolate lovers, an NIU basket, a baking basket, tween literature, sports, animals, as well as many others.
In addition to games and baskets, students were able to have their hair spray painted in wild colors to show their Malta spirit. Another busy station was face painting. The artist created masterpieces on our student faces. Many different designs were available including an NIU Huskie, lions, as well as moustaches.
The Fun Fair is one of Malta Elementary's major fundraising events. Nearly $6,000 was raised through the efforts of many and the generous support of the school, parents, and community.
